Troubleshooting and getting help
Sign-in or permission problems
If your session has expired, sign in again. If an action is denied after sign-in, your account may lack the required permission. Ask your administrator to check the affected action and role.
Validation problems
Read the field-level message, correct the affected value and validate again. Check station identifiers, UTC dates, issue times and validity periods. Do not change an observation merely to silence a warning without checking the source.
Save or publication problems
Before retrying after a timeout, reopen the record and inspect its saved or published revision. Repeating an operation without checking can create duplicate work. If another user changed the record, reload it and reconcile your edits.
Unavailable or stale weather
An unavailable feed does not mean that no warning exists. Check the issue time and validity period, then use the established operational source. Sample or demonstration content must not be used as a current observation.
Report a problem
Send your normal support contact the application, page, time and time zone, steps taken, expected result, actual result and any product identifier. Include a screenshot only after removing confidential information. Never send passwords or authenticator keys.
Continue operations
Use the department's existing fallback procedure until the responsible person confirms the tool is usable. A saved aviation draft or generated file does not replace the accepted submission procedure. For storm procedures, consult the Met Department operating guidance.
